Introducing SAHAR’s New Program Manager

We are thrilled to announce that Farzanah Darwish has joined Sahar Education as our new Program Manager. With a profound commitment to girls' education and equitable access to quality learning, Farzanah brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team.

Farzanah holds an M.S. in International Educational Development from the University of Pennsylvania and has pursued a partial Ph.D. alongside an M.Sc. in Pure Mathematics from India. Her impressive academic background is complemented by extensive teaching experience and a track record of impactful work in the field.

Prior to joining us, Farzanah collaborated with Lapis Group (Moby Group) to enhance media-based education for girls in Afghanistan and worked with UNESCO on initiatives aimed at supporting girls in conflict-affected regions. Among her notable achievements is the "Ride for Freedom" project, which earned her the prestigious International School Award from the British Council.

Farzanah firmly believes that education is not just a privilege, but a fundamental right for all individuals, regardless of gender or circumstance. Her passion for empowering girls through education aligns perfectly with Sahar Education's mission to foster resilience and opportunity in the face of adversity.

We are excited to welcome Farzanah to our team and look forward to her leadership as we continue our work in advancing girls' education in Afghanistan. Please join us in welcoming her to the Sahar Education family!
